It did not go well for me. Various mistakes were made. I'll have to go back a couple of hours and think again. And I don't care.

It's bloody brilliant.

My favorite boss fight in the game. My favorite music in the game. One of my favorite quests in the game. Just brilliant.

Definitely one of the more enjoyable dungeons in the act and hope was a fun character to be around

I have the song saved on a youtube playlist, listen to it all the time. It's so amazing.

Basically I was rattled by all the warnings, exactly as the game wanted me to be...


I'm now working my way back through in a *slightly* more sensible away, although I haven't swapped my team:-



We shall see.

But it's one of those moments in any narrative medium - books, film, games, anything - where your first experience of it will stay with you forever. Feel so grateful that it wasn't spoiled for me.

This isn't meant to be a strategy thread - just wanted to give feedback about how much I enjoyed it, what happened to me and how I felt. Glad other people have said how much they've enjoyed it too.

My new standard for every boss in every video game going forward: if they don't give me a recitative rundown of how screwed I am while beating on me, they are second-rate.

Yep, this encounter is end-game quality in itself. There's a number of them, but this is right up there.

My daughter was helping me and the battle roiled from left to right and round again.

High point was Gale loosing a Disintegrate on a pillar for 150 damage and then counterspelling Raphael like 3 times in a row. I knew how much damage he was going to dish out and counterspell wasn't 100% reliable, so each was a victory in itself.

My only regret was killing Komilla, I should've and could've knocked her out for Hope. But she broke Shadowheart's concentration when the battle was still in question and the Myrmidon's turn was next.
