You lose nothing from playing it later. I wasn't very optimistic at first, but much of the dropped content is surprisingly developed and reeks of last minute cuts. See it this way: if nothing else, people won't get any of the game breaking bugs. Nor the majorly annoying ones.

The game wasn't finished nor polished when it came out. Not in my eyes.

The most important cut content, *if* you haven't watched it, but do want a summary:

Right. This is exactly the same “summary” that’s been bandied around on Reddit, Steam, here and probably other places. This time in video form with a bit of added speculation by the person who made it. Again with very little detail on what was actually found.

Some of it probably is “cut content” that was “meant” to be the game, such as:

Upper city (since it was mentioned by Sven), some more endings for companions and epilogues, etc and they probably tie in together.

But there’s a lot there I’d be much more sceptical about:

Whole regions for Avernus and the Shadowfell, a Bhaal assault on the Githyanki crèche, etc]

On what basis could you say any of that is “surprisingly developed”? Exactly what has been found?

I’m just saying that lots of people are taking these claims entirely at face value and getting their hopes up it’s all going to be “restored” at some point. For many of these examples, there might well be very little actually made to restore, assuming we can really trust this source in the first place.

Personally I’d like to see a LOT more evidence for much of this before spreading it around further.
