Bummed that you can’t take Shadowheart to get some fish at the fishmonger, or Astarion to get a really rare steak at the butcher. Would’ve been nice to follow up on those references.
For characters who have deep ties to peoples and places in Baldur’s Gate, I wish we could do more around the city with them. Doesn’t Wyll have his childhood home in the Upper District? There’s so much more I’d like to see.
Right? I mean, in some cut scenes I have seen others get,
Astarion tells a player that he doesn't want them sleeping in their bed anymore because he was breaking up with them, implying that they were sleeping in the same bed up to that point
...and I was thinking wouldn't it be nice to have been showing that during the long rests? Like holding each other or something? I am a bit of a romantic, so I am all about the romance cut scenes and the idea of other dates and stuff. Even if it wasn't cut scenes for like a bed roll click thing to try and spend a night together, just some innuendo from your partner about it would be awesome. I get there there are only so many scenes and dialog you can shove into something, but if you're a couple, I just like feeling more like a couple. Like during battles, I like that if you have a good enough relationship and you fall, you're partner will say something like, "You can't die! Get up!"
I even felt that way with DOS2 when you get that one-night access to the cabin on the boat. I was like, why can't you just go use the cabin when you feel like it after that? It wasn;t even cinematic, was just text and choices and flirting, so why not go back multiple times if I want to? Sort of the same thing I would love to see in BG3.
