Link with some additional information on the bug. Seems mainly latency based if you "End Turn" before the weapon script to return it runs. A few other individuals have reported that if crushing damage from a thrown object earns the kill, no xp is a awarded. I'd love to see this key feature of Eldritch Knights get a little QoL pass.

Starting combat out of turn-based mode also seems to increase the chance. As does using the feature in multiplayer.

A number of people weapons get "stuck" in unreachable areas when it missing an enemy or hits something seen or unseen due to pathing, then the return script fails to excute.
