For all the talking up of Mind Flayers as the "main" villains of BG3 and their inclusion in the logo and their being part of the initial idea by Larian, I feel like we barely scratched the surface of Illithid lore. No Mind Flayer colonies or societies, no competing Elder Brains, no different ceremorphotic creatures beyond Mind Flayers, barely any activity in the Underdark or planes, no alhoons or ulitharids. Combat encounters I would have liked to have seen include:
-Brainstealer Dragon (Tadpoled Dragon) or Elder Brain Dragon (Elder Brain fused to a Dragon)
-Mindwitness (Tadpoled Beholder)
-Vampiric Illithid (Would have been nice for Astarion's story)
-Neothelid (Giant worm that results from a tadpole never undergoing ceremorphosis and eating everything)
-Brain Golem (Self-explanatory)
-Urophion (Tadpoled Roper)
