Come on. This is a great scenario for a sequel and an epic adventure.
Vlaakith, Zariel, and the rest, epic battles, and epic rewards and situations. Traveling between planes, the Wish spell that all the fans have been talking about and stuff like that.
Continued romances and character development.
I'm assuming a canonical version of the ending of BG 3 is needed for this to be possible, with a few minor cosmetic changes. But I think the players would be sympathetic to this.
I mean if it's off world, in the planes or space, or just not near BG city, then either ending *could* work. Either you're the same characters or new ones, have an import or a design with choices (like how PoE2 does it) and sometimes people mention it but you aren't there so it doesn't majorly effect things? A few random guest characters or alt dialogue to relfect? MAYBE? for a sequel but not a Vlaakith sequel
As the ending would NEED you have spaced Orpheus and supported Laez in coming to believe in him, or else there is no Vlaakith storyline to have!
You can go have adventures elsewhere with either option, hey aren't you the guy who destroyed BG with that giant brain? If the storyline involves you getting transported across the planes or etc then you'd have either fighting to get home or fighing to get back to my evil empire! but, for most of the stuff people are asking for DLC/sequels to deal with are explicitly companion side-quest based so unless you ended them the right way, no way
You can't have going to hell to save K or W if your character sided with minthara and never had their side quests, you can't go take part in the Gith civil war if you didn't do Laez's quests so there isn't one?
