I found a bunch of rather seeming side quest items, but I'm not sure about them:
*Polished Necklace next to the gilded box on the nautiloid --> What's up with that? *Perfumed Letter - Anna to Sy (from a corpse on the beach by the jetty) --> Do you meet Anna in or on the way to Baldur's Gate or at the "Hill of the Old Bridge" as it is mentioned? *Old Scroll (in the chapel where Mari patrols) --> Can you do the ritual later or is this needed for an inspiration goal (Acolyte background)? *Silver Medallion of (Francis) the body of the kidnapped nobleman near the Ravaged Beach --> The engraving says "For Dad" - Do you meet a family member of Francis? *Silver Ingots and the like --> Can you use this for crafting? *Sorry (letter from Edmund the Warlock, who joined a Cambion as a mercenary, to Miriam) & Enigmatic Diary from the Harpy's Nest --> Do you meet anyone from it? *Selûnite Rite (Scroll in the Owlbear's Lair) --> Can you do anything with it? *Selûnite Necklace (on a table in the Old Forge in Blighted Village) --> Could it be upgraded? *Hard Letter (from Gomwick, Kratzer's dead master) --> describes the location of a treasure Ninefinger is supposed to get *Gentle Letter (from Gomwick, Kratzer's dead master) --> Do you meet Daven or Flora in Baldur's Gate? *Personal Letter (from Gomwick, Kratzer's dead master) --> Do you meet Postmaster General Danzo in Baldur's Gate? *Tarnished Locket (from the dead Tiefling killed by the Ogres) --> It says it shows Towers from Elturel - Do you meet someone from there?
It is used to safely open the nearby chest - you need to “read” it around it. I remember it being fiddly in EA, I don’t know if opening from inventory does the trick - what certainly does, is assigning it to the hotbar and clicking on it from there when nearby the chest.

You're confusing things. You do indeed require the prayer note to open the chest, but there is a rite scroll in the chest. I don't know what it's good for.
For Elturel, all the teeflings you meet are from there?

Yes, but what about a relative one for that locket or an antique store or something similar? Just asking. It will take me a long time and I will find more stuff until I arrive in BG City.
