If theres no moral high ground, then the Chaotic Neutral choice is 'what will benefit me the most'.

between 7000 vampire spawns or 1 super vamp, theres no correct 'good' choice, both are bad. So then the decision has to be self serving. Or '1 super vamp is easier to control / contain / kill than 7000 spawns' even - lesser of two evils, but I'd say that is more of a True Neutral reason. No way I was going to let 7000 vampire spawns just roam free, and killing them also gives me more power if I can keep Astarion under my thumb.

Saving the kids because kids should be saved and they might learn to be better is a Chaotic Good choice. Saving them because you agreed to for the bounty hunters is the Lawful choice. I said I would save them initially thinking they might still be unturned, but after finding out they were all turned into spawns I had to break that promise, neither lawful nor good, but not due to an evil decision either
