At this point (not sure what the Point Buy system is as I've never played Pathfinder) I'd be great on like a 25% boost to HP. For veterans, explorder mode is waaaay too easy I'm sure, but for new people I think it -was- set at a good level prior to the buffing. People should be struggling a little bit as they progress because that's how you learn the system and eventually master it. Can't really learn or master a system if they dumb it down -so- much you don't have to put -any- effort into winning a fight, and that's kind of what the 100% buff on explorer feels like now. It's just too easy. I agree sliders and allowing people to set their own difficulty would be the best option. I'm sure some very new players to games in general (I've played MMOs like WoW and LOTRO etc, and action ARPGs like Elden Ring and Witcher 3 before, as well as hack and slash like Grim Dawn--just not CPRGs, mine issue is a matter of learning the -system- and how the combat works together with the environment).
I was really just getting the hang of things and coming up with my own strategy style when they buffed explorer mode. Now I don't need strategy at all for the "your party vs. 20 mobs and a mini boss" fights-- you're just so OP you outlast them and nuke everything. It's dull (bored is the reason I quit MMOs because they all became faceroll easy in the last decade or so). It's just too extreme a change and feels jarring at its current lvl vs. previous, and jarring to bump up to balanced, too. Sliders would take care of that.
