I played BG3 with controller (my first contact with a controller evah!, mind you :))
The UI is not that bad. Some of the bugs seem to have been addressed in Patch 1, hence a Good Thing for all you console people
BTW - yes, Larian Studio's PR/marketing seem sub-par to me.
