In that world, githyanki are considered as a major threat. Nobody in their right mind would seek help from them.
That said, I am trying to roleplay similarly. Except I trusted the dream visitor and took my time protecting tieflings. That said, without any spoilers or additional "real world" knowledge I've missed Karlach, Lazael and Will in my Act 1, lol Halsin also had to save himself.
