After doing the Dank Crypt and getting Wither, I was not able to speak or interact with any NPCs, within or out of my group. I can't even star the event at the waypoint where I am supposed to free Gale. The game is at a standstill right now, worse yet, I found on the patch notes that this was a bug that was fixed recently: "Fixed certain savegames where you cannot talk to any or certain NPCs after the Silence or Garotte spells were used."
Really don't want to redo the whole dungeon again but this is a big blocker. Yes the spell Silence was used on my group during the Crypt encounter.
