Again neither we know we are safe and have unlimited time to just stroll around. If we choose to believe the dream visitor - they are under attack since dream one - which is concerning and otherwise we only learn how the tadpoles are different which doesnt nessecerely mean its a good thing. Its a dangerous thing on its own and even more so when it has some weird properties we dont know much about. Id say the moment the prism saves us from the unknown trio we can at least for the moment rely on the dream visitor - they are our best bet (tho they are a tiny bit suspicious leading us right into enemies hands).
But Laezel seems as a good choice too - since we were helping her all along, fighting with her and that means something for a society like hers. Plus we initially get accepted by her kin, even if the peace doesnt last long. And after we are attacked we have no other way, but fight through and get some extra information along the way.
So I still think githyanki > cultists for pirority. Even tho I agree I understimated how hostile and dangerous they are lorewise in eyes of normal people.
