Yeah...compatibility issues would be a concern, I think. Humans/Dwarves can have children with Elves, but can a Dragonborn sire a kid with an elf? Halflings? Githyanki? I have my doubts. It sounds like an interesting story though.
And IIRC from my sourcebooks the drow even have grammar/vocabulary in their native tongue to describe 'raising a child' The spider-worshipping folk aren't known for being the most nurturing mothers around.
