While you are right about Larian, they have revisited older releases with DOS II Definitive, and there is Swen's statement about doing more. That plus the fact that BG3 is doing boffo business by any measure means the folk making any real profit from BG3 have to be seriously considering it.
GIve the BG3 engine like three more major patches and it will be SOLID.
I don't want to wait another twenty, or even FIVE years for another full Baldur's Gate game.
I also do not see how they could go much higher in levels. The Spells get World-Altering. There is no way I can see Larian implemeting Plane Shift to be used at any time by a player without building ALL of the Planes. Not to mention good old Wish. It would be fun as well as frustrating to see NPCs use these spells.
So at this point unlike my previous post I think Larian needs to focus on a DLC around Waterdeep. Gotta be a new set of companions and player characters. Hopefully Larian gives the option to import a previous character and have them reset to level 3, but I doubt it.
I also still want a Random Battle arena.
