other great artists are the local, non-pop artists. People who make their own music without really caring what the mainstream is listening to ... so again I have to mention Laďs here ...
Indeed! There are some fine garage bands after all: Nickelback was a garage band and Radiohead was a schoolband. Both are now commercialised.
