My character flirted a little with Wyll before the tiefling party, and then again at the party but he seemed determinedly oblivious, just taking the flirting as her joking or being kind about his changed appearance. She got fed up, at least partly because as a tiefling herself horns and glowy eyes aren't anything to complain about and she was starting to take his comments a bit personally. She told him he was impossible and went off and had a one night stand with Astarion.
In Act 2, she told Astarion that there'd be no more of that, and then a bit later there was the prancing scene with Wyll when he finally made his move and commented he'd nearly missed what was in front of his face, which felt spot on and quite sweet (though I did find his tone when commenting on my character's "charming" dancing rather patronising).
There was the option in that dialogue to suggest spending the night together, but that felt too fast so we just said goodnight.
After that, there was a new "I want to talk about us" option in Wyll's dialogue that gave me the option to ask to kiss him, break up with him, or ask him what I meant to him. I made the mistake of choosing the latter only a day or so after the dancing and his flowery declaration felt really OTT that early in the relationship. It probably shouldn't have appeared until a bit later.
And since then ... no change, and no romance-specific dialogue that I've noticed (outside the circus dryad that I assume everyone gets). I still haven't finished his act 3 personal quest, but have rescued his dad and there's been nothing so far. I'm now wondering if that's it.
I don't know what the other romances are like as I'm avoiding spoilers as far as possible, but it does feel rather thin. Personally I'd like at least another opportunity to get laid in Act 3 if we don't take the chance as part of the dancing scene. And, yes, some small recognition of the fact we're in a relationship when talking to Wyll's dad, or talking to Wyll about his decision about what he is willing to sacrifice for his dad, would help.
I'll save making any judgement on the ending until I've got that far! Given by the end of the game I'm guessing I'll have known him for less than two months, I personally am not interested in a marriage option (to be honest, I wouldn't be even if the game's timeline were longer) but it does seem that we should at least get some sort of recognition of the relationship status in an epilogue. At least unless there's going to be the possibility of continuing the relationship in DLC or an expansion
