The artifact
changes ownership to pc, when it's occupant is revealed. A lot of npcs refer to you as the chosen one to carry the artefact. So Shadow probably would not have been able to take the artefact from you. Not even a near goddess was able to.
Correct, but in that playthrough, that was never really expanded on or explained that it chose me. It just sorta..showed up on me at one point and later on in Act II or Act III, there was a dialogue option to ask Shadowheart about how it chose me, even though it doing so was never shown
Oh, ok. In my playthrough, everyone and their aunt told me, how I'm the special one. I guess it changes depending on what happens.
