Why doesn't Shillelagh work with greatclubs? After trying and failing to get this to work in game I did a bit of research and it looks like in early access it did. I posted on outside forums and the main kickback I got was Shillelagh says "club" not greatclub. Is everyone so precises when it comes to swords? I can imagine if someone used a shortsword and an ability said swords they would still say the shorty too was still a sword. Since I haven't played since the 2nd ed days of D&D (and hey had some head scratching rules back then too) I dug a little deeper into Greatclubs. I really wanted this to work because my idea of my druid is similar to a bear shaman in age of Conan or an avenger druid from days of old. A more melee fighting druid. All for some personal RP purposes. Anyway I find under roll20.net 5th ed description of greatclub that not only is it a simple weapon but also**drum roll** a CLUB! Now I'm not asking for an increase in the damage even thought an increase to 1d10 for giving up a shield would be nice, I'd really like to at least benefit from Shillelagh's bonus to hit and the making the greatclub into a magical weapon to help bypass some resistances. So, shouldn't a greatclub be classified as a club, like source material says, and then shillelagh should be usable on it? I'd like to see Larian look into this.
