The encounter with Yurgir during ACT II has inconsistent XP gained between persuading him and outright fighting him, despite both approaches having the exact same outcome.

  • Persuading Yurgir to kill his own myrmidons, his displacer beast and ultimately himself does not award any meaningful XP for passing 3 Persuasion checks in a row.
  • However killing Yurgir, his myrmidons and the displacer beast ourselves in direct combat grants the full XP

Naturally taking the harder path of x3 persuasion checks should be equally as rewarding because the outcome remains exactly the same. Currently the player loses out on 1200XP by taking the cooler route.

I guess we're punished for not doing an absurd fight.
