certain enhancement will have requirements.
for example, to enhance the 'backstab' or 'silent kill' ability of a slashing weapon, one will need a serrated dagger of certain type & not just a butter knife or b*stard sword(too big & clumsy for silent kills).
this will make a lot of mini-dragon armour set quests.
note: some may need upgrades, either the whole item or certain part of the item. read: increase RAM size, HD size, at least win2K or winXP with latest patch. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
@Janggut
Imagine a quest that includes such a complexity that the hero must find an abandoned furnace, a coal mine, a mining pick, a leather back-bag, a meteor rock, a dwarf assistant, a smith’s hammer, a mallet, an anvil, a grinding stone-wheel, a cart-wheel, a big axel, a small axel, a saw, an ancient tree trunk, a carpenter’s shaping-axe, a sturdy dry bamboo stem, a very long rope, a tar pit, a tin bucket, a pair of leather gloves, a pair of blacksmith tweasers,a small tree trunk and a blacksmith workshop blueprint.
You need to apply the saw to the small tree trunk to make a foot wheel and to the bamboo stem to make a handle.
You then apply the big axel to the grinding stone-wheel and apply to the result the cart-wheel.
You then apply the axe to the ancient tree trunk followed by applying the saw to make a stand for the wheel assembly.
You put the wheels in there and apply the very long rope to make a belt and cover it with tar that you bring in the tin bucket from the tar pit.
You apply the small axel to the foot wheel and place it in the belt and into the ancient tree trunk stand and you have a grinding facility ready to use. Alternatively you could apply the small axle to the bamboo handle and fit it to the cart wheel and let the dwarf turn the wheel for you to grind.
You bring coal from the coal mine and put it in the furnace and you bring meteor rock pieces breaking it with the pick and carrying it in the leather back-bag.
You make fire and melt the meteor rock, then you wear your leather gloves and take the meteor melt with the tweezers and hammer it with the hammer on the anvil, then grind it, then heat it in the furnace, then hammer it again, then grind it once more and you have a very sharp sword ready for battle.
Now that is what I call Making Your Own Weapon.
