so Patch 2 destroyed my game basically, I can't play at all. Does anyone know, how to get back to Patch 1 with Steam?

its just ridicoulous...

they shouldnt release it so early ;(

YOOOOOO patch 2 ruined my game as well.... WTH I literally just said to myself how do i get back to patch 1 oh well time for a 10th restart of the game lol i feel ya bro i feel ya man man am i sad. it was a good playthrough too

I was going to post my issue (initial loading went from weeks of 30 seconds loads to now over TEN MINUTES!) but I can see they don't reply or care haha, awesome.

make a new save file good luck out there!

Go to your \Baldur's Gate 3\Data folder and move the Patch 2 .pak file. Load a save from before you downloaded the patch and you should be good.

So you can't continue a save under an old patch? Sigh

Nah man all my character stories reset. They started talking about stuff from the start of the game sad. And then I crashed with a vulkan error for the first time started new playthrough just got off the nautiloid seems to be alright on dx11 so frames are choppy so much for a performance upgrade if anything they went back a few steps but I have hope hopefully next weeks patch we'll square up some of the quests I'm going to go test out the find your belongings quest if that doesn't work lmao imma quit the game.
