Are the bonuses not supposed to stack? I add them up and seems like they should say +7, but why am I only seeing +3?

Are some of them conditional, e.g. kicks in when your HP drops to 50% or whatever? You would have to look at whatever gear is giving you the numbers.

Yeah ive noticed it myself as well. Dont know what causes it. The times ive checked if I got the proper bonuses I do think theyre properly applied. But it should be a +7 indeed.

That screen is all kinds of faulty with conditional modifiers. Try to get targeted by a CON save spell, and then see what the roll looks like.

I don't know how you come to that conclusion. The combination of CON 14 and CHA 16 alone should give a +5 Bonus to CON saves even if the item mods were conditional, but from what my research tells me those mods are static too. This should be a static +7 to CON saves plain and simple.

I think the point is that that screen might be bugged -- can you see what happens in actuality in the combat log?

As I understand it, you only get the bonus from the single highest source. So, if you have something that gives you +1, +2, +1, and +3, you'll only get the +3 bonus. In your case, it looks like you're getting the +3 bonus from the Aura of Protection, but once that goes away, you'd be getting the +2 from your Constitution. I'm not 100% sure if that's the way it works, but either way it's overly confusing. The way they show it in the UI, it makes it look like it should clearly stack. I'm also not really sure what the point of having those bonuses on gear is. I guess you can pad the stats that you have 0 in? Or perhaps some gear will give lager bonuses in the later parts of the game that will be greater than the bonuses your own stats give? Not sure, but it's very counterintuitive if you consider how most games like this are played.

Wait, really? So there's literally no reason to wear or use anything that boosts your saving throws if the related ability score is already 17 or higher?

That seems.. terrible?
