Planning on my first playthrough as a Wizard, and I don't want two of the same class in the party, hence planning on respecing Minsc and Jaeheria as well, don't need 2 rangers/druids (keep Halsin as a Druid, Jaheira as a ranged Ranger and Minsc into a Paladin).
That just leaves us with Gale as an extra Wizard.
So I plan on turning him into a Storm Sorcerer, both as a pun on his name and as an interesting character development. He started as a Wizard but now due to circumstances has to relearn everything from the start and his special condition does exemplify the kind of Sorcererous Origins most PC's have.
Also picked Storm Sorcerer for the extra spells, which most Sorcerers desperately need.
Does this make sense?
