Yeah, and that is not something, I particulary need. We all know, why exactly Halsin and Minthara are there. And tbh I don't need either of them, I just said alongside, because I don't want to deal with that fancrowd complaining, but truth is, I could do without them personally.

Heck recycle the Helia idea and make them a werewolf goblin friend. It would be sick, and one more reason to play evil than just Minthara. As for the class, maybe a ranger? We already have 2 druids with halsin and jaheira, so why not making it 2 rangers with goblin werewolf lad and minsc?

I dunno man, I really think we need another evil party member over anybody else.

Well, make a trhead about an evil goblin ranger companion. This is a thread to discuss Helia, the halfling bard, so people wouldn't come looking here for goblin companions I guess. And in fact there is a thread about goblin companions somewhere - if you search, you will surely find it.
I even put your wish to the 'Make Minthara available on a good playthrough' thread, because it seems with anotehr companion, the evil playthrough might be a bit more rewarding.
But I do want to keep it mostly about Helia here.

In the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion to BG1 we learned that there were important connections between Balduran (legendary founder of the City) and Lycanthropes specifically. So it's not like someone had just watched Penny Dreadful and decided our campaign needed to be more Gothic by including the Wolfman. (Although the Mummy rez point did make me chuckle hehe.) Monsters Club, "kick him in the..." oh wait, different movie!

This character would have been very much in keeping with the Baldur's Gate legacy, especially BG1.

Pińa Colada, perfect hair! I mean why not? Honestly still seems like a pretty obvious expansion character. Aside from Monty who we met immediately, they always made us wait forever for the Halflings.

Yes, I don't think, werewolves are out of line for BG3. I really would like to see Helia at one point. I hope, the fact, they made a female halfling bard hireling, doesn't mean, it is out of the question.

I'm amazed how many upvotes people get, when someone mentions Helia. So there seems to be an interest. I guess, we weren't just vocal enough.
Tbh, I didn't think, I had to be vocal, because I was sure, Helia was a given, sadly not.

Sadly it turned out Larian didn't so much had their own vision but instead implemented whatever got the most upvotes on reddit.

Yeah, unfortunately. I never thought, we wouldn't get Helia or another small companion. If I had known, I probably had made as much noise as the Halsin and Minthara simps.

I just found out, watching a video about Shadowheart, where her
parents live, that her father is in fact a werewolf.

Imagine the cool tie in with Helias story. Maybe there was a planned story crossover, where
he is her maker
or so
