I so far had nearly no problems with the smaller races, there is even a special view, when you look up at people, that are currently talking. It is imo very well done.
I'm not sure about your spoiler tag, I think, that is tied to SH backstory, but she might have had some special interaction with Helia about it. And I really want to see it.
