Yes, I would love to have Aasimar in BG3, as well as Genasi, but the real question is: does shilling your videos on these forums actually bring in more views than normal?

He's been accused of shilling and of unacceptable behavior. Why is self-promotion seen as such a bad thing? Is he not trying to better himself? Is what he's doing actually harming folks somehow?

Big corporations pepper the world with advertisements all the time. Those ads are often annoying, but they're generally accepted. It's how business gets done. It's how ideas and efforts travel. I suppose you could argue that a corporation pays for the privilege, but unless you're on the receiving end of that money, I'm not sure how it's your concern.

And yes, it would be nice if he participated in the conversation, but maybe everything he had to say was in his video.

I don't know. I guess it just doesn't bother me. In fact, there's a part of me that would encourage folks to go out into the world and proactively promote themselves.

I would prefer something more elaborated than a link drop followed by a disappearance. If you want to promote yourself as a small content creator, being relatable and having an organic growth of your community is important.

It bothers me, If someone only comes in to promote his videos without participating. This is a forum, where people discuss, He only use it to advertise his stuff. I would be ok, If he used his videos as base for a discussion, but he doesn't. There is never an answer from him.
If you are ok with it, fine, I'm not, precisely because it is done so often.

I don't think you're being fair with your analogy. I would agree with you if he happened to be going from post to post leaving links to his channel, effectively spamming the forum. But as it stands, he's quietly leaving a single post every week or so, which is largely unobtrusive and hardly "in your face," so to speak.

Maybe if he kept all his videos to a single thread that he updated on the regular, and actually talked to people about the videos and elaborated on topics, but he's made quite a few threads, all with only one post by him, which is the video link. This isn't twitter.

I do indeed want to play as an aasimar race, I think it would make for a cool twist and can draw from many elements already in game play.

Exactly the same logical problem exists with angelblood / Aasimar.

Not sure if someone already said this but if they added another race I would rather see Gensai, they are suppose to be the most common plane-touched race for Toril. I generally remember them from my 3rd edition forgotten realms book and they usually showed up in forgotten realms campaign guides after also. Along with being in Nwn2 not sure if they made it in NwN1 though.

Did you know, you can 'summon' Kobolds? There's Kobolds hiding in barrels at a certain point. You can pick them up, and throw them later - a kobold will spring out of the barrel.
