Just implement a transmog feature. There are plenty of mediocre and bland armors for you to wear if they allow transmog, just equip the plate and scale male from Act 1 and call it a day with the transmog system. Don't need 30 bucks for that, that's literally over half of the price the game sold for when you bought it in EA.
