Hey my dear BG3-Fans and Larian-devs,

I´ve got a big problem: I stand right before the brain and there is no chance to cast the spell "Karsus compulsion" because there is no spell! .
First of all: The Netherstones-triune is in my hands (TAV-character) and I´m no mindflayer but the emperor is still by my side.

I told Gale that he can blow up himself if we have no chance against the brain.

Now the screen is cleared of enemies and I stand right before the crown but I cant find the "Karsus compulsion"-spell. I read on reddit that it will appear on the spellbar if you´ve got the triune in your inventory....but there is not spell :-(
I threw the triune on the ground and pick it up --> nothing :-(
I reloaded the savegame --> nothing :-(
I loaded a savegame before the last conversation with Gale --> nothing
I waited another round --> nothing
I tried it on Shadowheart --> can pick it up but still no spell
I tried it on the Emperor --> Can´t pick it up

Does anyone have an idea?

Was in exact same situation. So what i did (what lead to this situation) - i gave the stones to Emperor, said i would become Illithidh myself, but i didn't. I decided i will do it later.
So you are probably in the same boat.
All you have to do is to have stones in your inventory (main char) AND special tadpole which will make you Illithid.
So you can activate the tadpole (you should do) and can do it even in the fight. What is even more funny - Emperor will say: "rEmEMber yOu hAVe To bE MinD flaYEr to uSE tHE sToNes". No bro, i am not remember this Wasn't paying attention ffs. Would be nice of you if you remined me like the moment we are at the final door or whatever.
After your transformation you will get this spell immediatly and can finally use it on the crown.
