...Simply no one cares, for some bizzarre reason?

I expected this to be one of the first mods popping on Nexus on release, especially with the popularity of the "Party Limits begone" mod that allow six or more characters, because the default formation (a spread-out triangular formation) is both hideous to look at and incredibly impractical to use.

Here's an old picture from EA (since nothing changed) as reference:

Instead, no one seems to consider it an annoyance. Which is fairly weird, because the gameplay implications are that navigating narrow spaces (especially when traps are present) becomes a freaking nightmare.

Or can't answer this...

My guess is that it isn't as easy as it sounds or it simply isn't a high priority mod for a lot of people and as such wasn't done yet. But as I said, it's just a guess.

That's a shame, because being able to set an actual marching order rather than having your party mob around you as you move could be incredibly valuable in some areas. IE if traveling in an area with traps (which IMO looking for traps should be an active mode you can select, like in BG1/2) where you don't want some dumb@$% behind you running out in front and triggering one by accident, because the AI pathfinding doesn't even care if you've already detected it and will walk over it ANYWAY.

Yep, that' s a big part of why I was looking for a fix to this feature (well, to its absence, more specifically).
