When you play coop, can two players romance the same party member?

Also, spoiler alert, in the monestary cache, how you handle the kill your gurdian quest on the other plane. What if one player follows through and one doesn't? Or can just one player face its guardian. its confusing.....

How does rep work exactly in multiplayer? Does each character have their own relationship status with each NPC? We've had issues in our group/team because one user gets to control the cut scenes with the NPCs and sometimes do not choose the options that others want - does that affect EVERYONE's relationship or just the one person interacting in the cut scene?

in my case I just do a LAN coop with my wife. But whenever she tries to talk to Gale he says he has nothing to talk with her about. but I always get conversations with him. Weird.....

Excellent question! I haven't tested this, but my guess is that only the Host can have approval ratings from / relationships with NPCs. So when another player picks a dialogue option that an NPC doesn't like, I think that may affect the Host's approval rating. But as I said, I haven't tested this at all! I am just basing this on how the Host/Guest system appears to work.
