My partner and I are also facing the same issue. The first play session was fine until the game froze while we were sorting inventory. Restarted the game and a new chest spawned and she couldn't use the 2nd chest anymore. 2 players. Player 1 can access chests 1 and 2, player 2 can only access chest 3 while player 2's things are still in chest 2.
Play again the next day. Upon loading in, a 4th chest spawns. This time player 2 can't access chest 3 anymore but instead only has access to chest 4. Player 1 can access chests 1-3.
The next time we played the game again, player 2 can access chest 2 but not 3 and 4 anymore. Each time we load into the game, it's like player 2's access is cycled between chests 2-4 while her things still remain in their respective chests that she stores them in each time we play.
It doesn't make sense but that's what we have been experiencing with our game. It is literally the exact same issue we had on DOS 2 DE PS4 as well. It was never fixed in DOS 2 and I fear BD3 will suffer the same fate as well. I still hope it's fixed though.
