Hi,

On the PS5, I've noticed a raised black level problem, and I'm experiencing strange color banding, especially in the cinematics/cutscenes. There doesn't seem to be a true black. I'm seeing unpleasant color gradients (some blacks tend towards purple) and artifacts. These issues are evident right from the opening sequence and immediately after character creation in the intro. It feels as if the black level isn't correct, as if a limited-range video was doubly compressed within that range.

I've double-checked, and my OLED TV is set up correctly wink. Both the TV and PS5 are configured for limited video range, and I haven't encountered these issues with other HDR games.
My PS5 HDR is calibrated to 4,000 nits and 0 black. I'm aware that the 'black 0' issue was addressed in patch version 1.200.003 - thanks for that!

When I play the game in SDR, everything looks as it should: no color banding, no visible artifacts, and the blacks are truly black, unlike the grayish tone in HDR. While in-game HDR tweaks (like setting the contrast to 1.25) can somewhat mitigate the raised black level, it's more of a workaround than a solution. This adjustment doesn't resolve the cinematic black level issues either.

Has anyone else encountered these problems?

Would be cool if you guys could look into this issue and fix it for an even better experience in your amazing game!

Thank you! smile
