In act 3, Karlach got jailed after I failed to convince her not to attack Gortash at the coronation. Naturally, I went to the prison and broke her and Counsellor Florrick out, then escaped out the breakable wall. Once out, after the cutscene with Florrick, I went down to the beach and looted the chest before deciding I was going to fast travel back out rather than go through the prison. Three of my party members fast traveled fine, appeared at the destination. Karlach didn't leave the beach. So I swapped to her perspective and opened the map to fast travel. It says that I cannot fast travel from that location. So I decide to go exploring, run around for a while before managing to get Karlach back with the party.

Once everyone was together, I decided to long rest. The three party members went to camp, no problem. Karlach stayed in the middle of the street where I left to start the long rest. Then I ran all over the map trying to see if anything would clear the 'can't travel from this location' tag when I bring up the map from Karlach's point of view, including going back to the prison and leaving out the front door. No dice. Then I get the idea that I'll just have her die and I'll resurrect her with Withers. Attack some guards, let them kill her, pay Withers, and she appears back in camp.
