Tried again, as Loose mentioned. Didn't work. The PC/Steam saves just will NOT upload. I can download cross saves just fine but they won't upload. I have no idea what to try next.

It's happening here too.
Tav game started on PS5, syncs from PS5 to Larian, and Steam downloads from Larian.
Origin game started on Steam, syncs from Steam to Larian (I suppose), but PS5 doesn't download it from Larian.

It's cross platform from PS5 to Steam, not the other way around. I haven't tried to change that game on Steam to check if PS5 would download newer save from Larian. I suppose it could work, but I won't create a new game just to try.

Same issue happening with me as well. I was able to get a single save to show up on my PS5 once, but since then no more saves have crossed over, and while saves from my PS5 transfer seamlessly to my PC, saving those games on my PC prevents them from going back to the PS5. I have my accounts linked properly and everything. When I turn off cross save on my PC then turn it back on and go into Load Save, you can clearly see the top five games attempting to be cross saved - the little red X icon appears next to the file name (next to the cloud) and selecting the game shows Cross Save - Uploading in red. However, doing the same on the PS5 does nothing - the game says Syncing but then nothing happens and no saves ever appear on the PS5.

Noticed something interesting - today I started a new character on my PS5 (I might never actually finish this game because I keep wanting to start over with a new character lol) and had five saves with Cross-Save on. The white x was there for all five. I went to my PC, booted up BG3, and sure enough all five were there and they also had the white x. This time, however, I disabled Steam Cloud saving, then opened one of the games, then saved again. This time, unlike previous times, the white x was there for the new save, suggesting that cross save actually worked. Wonder if Steam Cloud saving needs to be off for Cross-Save to work from PC to PS5? I'll keep playing around to see if I can come up with repeatable steps to get saving to work.

EDIT: Ugh - never mind, still not working. As I continued on the PC and made more saves, it wiped out the cross save icons one by one until none were left. Then, when I disabled cross-save then reenabled it, it tried to save the first five games but all had red x's and then ultimately none were saved. For whatever reason, cross-saving on the PC to PS5 is just not working, and it's definitely an issue on the PC side.

So after the latest hotfixes which now disables cross-saving between modded pc games and consoles, I wanted to share what I've been witnessing in game.

Firstly, it does seem at least for me that cross-save now works between PC and PS5 when no mods are activated. I tested it all day today and confirmed it worked seamlessly...so huzzah!

Additionally, it seems they added "DO NOT SWITCH OFF" to the cloud sync message in game and boosted the max number of cross-saved games to ten.

I'm personally bummed about the no modded games get cross-saved, as even though I can't use mods on my PS5 they come in very handy when playing on my PC, but I think I discovered somewhat of a workaround. It seems like if I disable/uninstall my mods, then load up BG3, then save a game, that game crosses over to the PS5, so as long as I do that every time before I play on my PS5, I should be able to keep one campaign going between the two machines even when using mods some of the time.

Finally, I did enter a ticket prior to Hotfix 16 and got a response saying the dev team was aware of the issue and working on it, which was nice to see.

I'll continue to do more testing to see what happens, but this definitely seems like an improvement over no cross-save working!

For those you who are playing on the PS5, be warned that if you are a player who grabs every item, invests roughly 150 hours or more in the game, or has a significant amount of saves, you will probably encounter the error code 544. This error will pop up as your are playing and thus you can no longer play on the PS5. It also prevents you from saving the game, and can corrupt other earlier save files. This occurs once you get to Act 3. I figured I'd post a warning in this thread since the PS5 was mentioned. Larian is not acknowledging, nor working on a solution for it either.

I test each patch and hotfix and i confirm result with other users also on Gog

the issue is with the server and beyond just a bug

Did anyone here find a fix? Everything was working fine for me until the latest hotfix. Now my PC saves refuse to upload. PS5 saves still upload fine.

I thought maybe something was wrong with my character so I made a fresh one on my PS5 which got uploaded to their servers. I loaded that save on my pc and made a new manual save and the new save wouldn't upload.

I don't have any mods installed and even reinstalled my pc version. Still the same problem.

This probably won't apply to everyone, but I had this issue, and for me, it was my NordVPN. Once I disabled that, it started uploading to Cross Save on PC successfully.

Can confirm cross saves are working fine again for me. I didn't have any VPNS or anything.
