Ideally, we'd get a few more cutscenes:
- Right before the final battle sequence,
all your companions should show up to the tavern. You should be able to talk to them and switch them out. It makes no sense how everyone else from Faerun has managed to converge into the tavern but not the companions who have followed you everywhere else
. - After the end battle, before the credits, we need a party a la Act 1. Let me talk to my companions about their immediate plans and get their reactions on
Gale, Lae'zel, Karlach, and/or Astarion's post-battle scenes. Right now those scenes lose a lot of their impact because they just get throwaway lines or are played off as a joke. Our companions react to almost every other choice we make, but we don't get any opportunity to see their reactions to these major story events
- There needs to be more differentiation between the vanilla evil and DU evil endings. For the DU evil ending,
give us a post-battle scene in the Temple of Bhaal. There should be a noticeable narrative impact since (one of) the Dead 3 was successful in their plan to dominate the Netherbrain.
For the vanilla evil ending it's a bit harder, but you could potentially put in a scene with Vlaakith that suggests war with the githyanki is imminent.
I would like to see epilogue slides but only for things that aren't already addressed in an existing scene or can't be better addressed in a post-battle scene. So mainly things like,
the fate of Emerald Grove if you do/don't expose the Shadow Druid plot, or Duke Ravengard's fate if you save him and do/do not extend Wyll's contract, the fate of the githyanki egg
; or events that might only happen a few months/years into the future. Epilogue slides are going to be very lopsided if they're the only post-game content, since in the "evil" paths,
the decision to control the Netherbrain eclipses nearly all other decisions you could make in the rest of the game
. The game is already lopsided towards the "good" path, and even though I don't personally play "evil" characters I think they should be roughly equal in terms of content.
