Good afternoon. This question is not fundamentally important, but I decided to ask a question.
Currently, as far as I've noticed, any character of "normal" height and dwarves weighs 75 kg and of gnomes and halflings - 35 kg. The weight of men and women is the same.
I suspect it was a good temporary solution.
If we are talking about the world of Faerun, then an adult half-orc and dwarf on average has a weight much more than 75. Average elf - less than 75. Men weigh more than women, except Drow.
Body weight is much more important than it may seem (for the game). You have more chances to successfully push a lighter character. It would be logical if a light character passed a better stealth check when jumping. In addition, you can put a corpse in the inventory in the game - and then there is a difference how heavy the character was during his lifetime.
if the weight in the game was simply divided into categories ("big", "huge", etc.), I wouldn't ask. But the weight is indicated by a number in kilograms. This gives hope that someday different races will weigh differently
