No, considering how important family in the story of act 2 is this had too little depth.

But the missing of additional context is a statement on family in itself. Ketheric obviously did not care much for them, he only cared about his wife and especially the offspring of that relationship. The rest are just seen as thralls or unremarkable. Still, as said, I would at least have liked a comment on them by Ketheric.
