Some items have a passive effect that is activated when it describes "On a hit", but it is only valid for melee hits, thrown ones do not count.
As is the case with the Trident of Waves, which has as passive described: On a hit, the center of the target becomes wet.
However, this effect is only activated when you hit the trident in melee, the effect dont trigger with throwing. Which greatly ruins the power of this weapon to combine with lightning effects.
For example, I tried to create a barbarian berserker that uses the Trident of Waves with the mystic knight's linked weapon along with Nyrulna's legendary trident, a weapon in each hand, could combo when throwing them, since the trident of waves would wet the target when thrown and hit, and Nyrulna's trident could cause a shock react by having a passive effect of dealing thunder damage when thrown.
I noticed that all items with the passive effect of "On a Hit" only work as melee damage, could this be a bug? Or did I miss something?
In my opinion, thrown weapons would also count as On a Hit.
Could anyone with knowledge tell me about this?
