Hello Larian, I'm a big fan of your game and I appreciate all the hard work you've put into it. I especially love Astarion, he's been my favorite character since the early access. However I was a bit let down by his ending. I feel like he deserves a better outcome based on his choices.
Don't get me wrong. I understand that he's a vampire spawn and he has to deal with the consequences of his condition. But it was disappointing to see what he gets in the end as the outcome of rejecting the ritual and the corrupted power after all along the adventure with him. And the way his ending is presented in a humorous tone of fleeing from the sunlight feels out of place and insensitive. It's like his suffering is a joke to others.
I'm not asking for a fairy tale-like happy ending or something unrealistic. I wish his storyline ended with finding a cure for his sunlight sensitivity if he doesn't ascend. Or maybe you could change his ending scene to make it more respectful and fitting for his character arc.
I know you have a lot of things to work on and you can't please everyone, but I hope you can consider updating his story or ending like you did for Karlach. I think Astarion is such a complex and interesting character. Thank you for reading this and for making this amazing game.
