What are up with all the spam mails in the Story & Character section?
I've notified Queen, I just hope, the forum hasn't been hacked.

Jokes aside, that whole section is being spammed like crazy.

Edit, the Dubai girls have now invaded Tech support too ... which is kind of ironic, I guess.

I've reported them but this is something that's hard to tackle. Especially if you want freely available sign-ups.

We occasionally seem to get a spate of these, and it’s really annoying if we don’t catch them quickly as they create lots of accounts and messages in a short period. For no reason I can see other than causing inconvenience and annoyance as it’s not like anyone’s going to click the links!

The Composer and I will keep our eyes out for any new accounts and blitz them quickly. It might take a bit longer to get rid of the messages given the forum is timing out, but we will tidy up asap!

It's unfortunately not exclusive to these forums, Cyberpunk's forum also gets these ad-bot spams from time to time.

It's in the technical forum now too.

I'd personally IP ban them. All of them.

With the tools available to me at the moment, I have to go in and individually delete each one. A more permanent fix may be in the works.

Can you not just ban the posting account and it auto remove all of the posts?

Bad News: I’m not at my computer 24/7.

Good News: I banned all accounts (usually 10-20 a day) and just figured out how to delete multiple posts at once.

That's great. And no one expects you to be constantly online - we are mostly making fun here - at least I do.
