Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Modding Help game crashing lol

So I've been using Vortex for my mods and all I have are Tav Hair salon and Faces of Faerun, everything has been running just fine until right now the game keeps crashing. I've seen that Vortex isn't good to use for BG3 and instead to use the BG3modmanager. is there any way to get rid of Vortex and use the BG3manager instead? I'm brand new to mods and just don't want to lose my saves cause my girlfriends save is on here too and shed be pissed lol.

Why do you think the mod is the cause of the crashing if everything was previously working fine?

Have you installed ImprovedUI which is required for Tav Hair Salon and Faces of Faerun?


Uninstall the mods from Vortex.
Uninstall Vortex.

Install BG3MM
Install mods

Another big patch is coming next week so expect a lot of mods to be having issues after that - just like when patch 2 was released. Don't get too attached to any mods.

I haven't had any problems with the mods I use. Many of them I have been using since EA but I can and do read the info on the mod descriptions pages, I track the Nexus mods I use so I know when an update has been released.

Have you seen how many people who do not use mods have had and are still having issues with hotfixes and patches?
