There is "actual urgency" and "pretended urgency" in this game.

* Apparently, but I'm not sure, killing the Netherbrain after getting the seconds stone
This may or may not be immersion breaking, but an option to have actually time critical quests marked in the journal would be great, this would also clean up act 3 activities a bit for the players in my opinion.
