So, both a question and a discussion, does fighter get any good dialogue options?

I have tried playing druid, paladin, sorcerer and barbarian thus far. Each of them had something good to speak, Paladin with their oath, Sorcerer with magic, druid with animals and barbarian had pure ham.

In contrast fighter seems to be one of the strongest classess in game, but with some of the worst dialogue options. In fact, this class reminds me of Jocrap fighter.

"Fighter man, Fighter man, overall he is fairly bland. Hit some stuff, hit some more, outside of combat is quite a bore. Watch out he is the fighter man."

FIGHTER MAN

The only fighter dialogues I remember in act 1 is.

- Can instruct the tiefling who wants to learn fighting without a check
- Can intimidate the goblins at the windmill into leaving without a check.

Both of these Barbarian can do as well, same result.

It’s such a shame that one of the most common classes (human fighter combo) is basically as bland as the TAV, also known as default origin.

On the other hand, it's hard to actually write for a class that can be played in any way, shape or form and one that lacks any kind of defining feature.

The only exception would be subclassess, most notably battlemaster and Eldritch Knight

Not too many. From the top of my head:

-Telling Gale that you are no healer, but if anyone starts turning, you are well-trained in killing people
-Intimidating the goblins at the windmill in Blighted Town
-Intimidating the goblins (with Advantage) guarding the way to the Goblin Camp
-Lae'zel dialogue options that increase her approval
-Telling the Creche Captain that she should value her soldiers more, causing her to blame the Inquisitor
-Telling the Harpers you meet in the wilds in Act2 that you are a fellow man-at-arms, and asking them to stand down (this changes nothing though)

And uhh, that's about it. It feels as if the game is meant to be played as a Fighter, given how little extra there is to say or interact with.

In addion to the previous answers. Fighters can have a special dialogue (mostly one sentence) with

*Elegis (after Kanons Grave shows up)

*Asharak and the Tiefling Kids (after Wyll was recruited)

*Zevlor, if you head back to the Druid Grove (from the teleport circle) just before defending against Minthara's raid (otherwise you'll miss a cutscene) and then talk to Zevlor, but don't agree with him yet to be ready to fight so you can still talk to the other NPCs and complete quests

*Pandirna & Alfira during defense preparation before Minthras attack

*Lurkan if you talk to him at first and not Gekh above the Ebon Lake in Underdark
