If you cast Protection from Good and Evil on each character (use scrolls) - and then put on the masks then she can't control your mind and you can bypass the mask people AND all the traps since they won't trigger if you are wearing masks. Just an easier way to get to her.
Of course then to free the mask people you have to kill her. Otherwise the fight continues until you subdue them.
