Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Act 3 - Kithrak Voss bug at the Inn

I have followed the Laezel/Voss story thread diligently and have supported Voss against Vlaakith. The next part of the quest is to meet him at the Sharess Caress BUT when I go there he is already set as an enemy and attacks me on sight calling me a betrayer - I haven't betrayed him - in fact the opposite is true. If you defend yourself and kill Kithrak, Laezel becomes super angry and asks why you have attacked an ally... which further reinforces that our previous stance towards Voss was as an ally. The journal text before you go to the pub reflects the pro-voss choices you've made so you right expect him to be happy to see you... but he isn't - he jumps on you and wants to murder you. Is anyone else having this issue - i'm sure it is a bug as other people on Steam have reported the same issue. I hope they fix it as it has ground my entire game to a halt.

Addendum - tried going back to a previous save at the Astral Prison - chose slightly different options - still got the same outcome - Kithrak Voss is stood at the SHaress Caress waiting to kill me as soon as I turn up - even though I have completely sided with him.

Has nobody else had this problem with Voss in Act 3?

I think I might know what caused this BUT it doesn't make it not an issue. Right back in Act 1 if you attack the Githyanki group before you know Voss I am guessing it sets him as an enemy even though he flies off on his dragon. Later in Act 3 when he comes to make peace with you and recruit you to help him - if you agree then it should set him as a friend BUT I don't think it is. Even though he has come to talk to you and the cutscene has him make an agreement with you, the ingame Voss is presumably still set to Enemy. Please fix this, because it doesnt make any sense.

I am not having that specific issue but for me when I meet up with him there he will not engage in dialog with me. And I turned down the "offer" from our friend just prior to going to the Caress. But he is not hostile toward my party.

Coming to this old thread because it's almost all I could find on the subject! I just ran into the same problem on my 4th play-through and almost did everything the same as my last one (killed the gith group in act one - started the fight by tossing a grenade at the dragon from up top...). He was not hostile in last play-through so imagine my surprise as I walk up the stairs on this one and see him freak out on me! I even have Laezel in my party... There seems to be so little on this "bug" (or a reason for him being hostile). Help!
