It was working fine an hour ago, and now i cant open up any of my saves and no lobbies are appearing in the multiplayer menu

started getting this message today on PS 5

game is completely broken now.

was playing with my wife in couch coop. we were 30 something hours into the game. yesterday it was freezing when switching between characters.

today we cannot start at all, kkeping receiving the message in the subject. second outcome - game crashes to the console menu.

New game doesn't work.

Once during another try, save loaded itself without any input from the controller and game started working with freezes.

Next time we tried to load, we returned to the subject message, game crashing and unability to start any save or new game.

this evening is already ruined.

hope this gets addressed in patch planned for 21st of September.

Same. Also on PS5 today I cannot load any saves or start a new game without "Error joining failed: something went wrong on our end; please try again" and the game crashing.
Some saying a workaround is to disconnect your PS5 from the internet.

I logged out of the PSN account logged back in its working for me now

try logging out of the psn and log back in it let me into the game

You can play locally by turning off your internet connection in the PS5 settings and loading up your game (once playing, you can reconnect to the internet). Not found a solution for online multiplayer yet though.

still, in couch coop 2nd player is locked out from getting a companion, as 3 out of 4 are locked to player 1 and there is no "multiplayer" tab in menu to reassign..

As someone previously posted, you can load files by disconnecting your PS5 from the internet. A mindf@ck of a fix, but there it is. This game is turning out to be the next Cyberpunk 2077, the amount of issues in the PS5 port are staggering, crashes, doesn't load saves unless you disconnect your console from the internet, freezes if you summon, textures don't load in Act 3, crashes when in multiplayer, frame rate below 20s in Act 3, the list goes on. And they're extra deceptive as most of these issues don't present themselves far later in the game.

Some PS5 players are experiencing sudden Baldur’s Gate 3 crashes in what appears to be a PSN-related issue.

We’re investigating the problem, but for now, the workaround is to disconnect your PS5 from the internet.

I think it is working now. I came out of the game, turned on my internet connection, started the game, and no join failed error message. I am crossing my fingers. Now, if they can get the Twitch drops to appear, but one hiccup at a time.
