I kinda wish it was possible to turn more than 1 character unto a squid.

Imagine your whole party is an army of mind flayers.

Mind flayer Lae'zel floats off to turn all the Githyanki, squid Karlach goes to Avernus and fights Mizora. Squid Gale zaps Mystra psionically and traps her. Squid Wyll goes off to live in the sea. Squid Vampire Ascended Astarion marries squid Halsin.
Squid Minthara rides squid slayer Dark Urge into the sunset.

It is possible. Although it's an easter egg/glitch/bug. But it's super fun and hilarious and I'll fight anyone who wants to remove it.

Hint: you can save and reload the game when you game over

Hint 2: there's a certain game over scenario late in Act 2
