You really installed DX9? I heard till now that several people had severe problems with many games and graphical applications using DX9.
I have DX9 installed aswell and have no problems with it in any game (and I test/play
many games <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> )
It's official out by Micrsoft and it's no beta release. If you use the original Detonators/Crystals you're safe.
