This book will appear in September 2003, I haven't read it - the German review talks about genetic technique. It's slightly different than the Engl. review. Addendum: I know of fish races where the females can turn into males if they're not threatened anymore by dominant male fish of their breed - I wish, Sir Toejam was here, he'd know exactly which race I'm talking about.
